Star Throne launched an online music reality competition, SING & WIN on April 10, 2020. Meanwhile, the purpose of this concept was to create engagement, interaction and networking between its members. As a result, this concept evolved into a talent discovery platform.
Within 8 months, more than 10,000 Starthronians (members) participated. Averagely, out of about 200 contestants, more than 50% are regarded as potential talents who deserve a chance to go professional. Amongst them was Michelle Obilor.
To clarify, Michelle Obilor became a Starthronian when she joined the community on April 5 2020. She then joined the competition the same month and emerged as the first Sing & Win maiden edition winner. As a result, she was invited with other monthly winners to participate in the Sing & Win Grand Finale in December.
Eventually, based on the Kingmakers rating and verdict, Michelle Obilor was named the winner out of Final Top 5 contestants. As a result, she won herself the N100,000:00 (hundred thousand Naira) grand prize. In addition, Star Throne decided to Take her to the studio for her debut single as an added value to her grand prize.
